I love coming to the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning. It’s always fun to meet with colleagues in different disciplines and from different institutional contexts. Also, Wabash’s hospitality is legendary. I was here for a Publications Board meeting, and we were discussing Wabash’s current and future digital and print media output. Some of the questions raised have made me think about my own…I hate to say “branding” because it seems too commercial. Let’s say--my own identity as a scholar.
Questions we have considered: What do you want to be known for? What are you creating? What are you curating? Who is your primary audience? To whom are you accountable? Why do you do what you do? I don’t have all of the answers right now, but this conversation has helped me to clarify my questions.
