What to Watch Next on Netflix

Buried secrets. War-time decisions. Family mysteries.

No, it’s not Mad Men’s Don Draper.
It’s a provocative documentary that you must see.

The Flat follows the filmmaker who is clearing out his grandmother’s flat in Tel Aviv, Israel after her death. What he uncovers sends him on a quest to find out more about the past.

Occasionally, my older family members joke about walking to school uphill in the snow both ways past White schools, but in general, they don’t talk about the past. They believe that you should let sleeping dogs lie. After watching this film, I’m going to be more nosy at the next family cookout.

How much do you know about your family? How much do you want to know? What do you share with the next generation?
